Freezing Moments in Time
The thing I love about photography is that it allows me to capture the essence of a moment, turning it into something timeless. It’s not just about taking pictures—it’s about freezing emotions and stories that can be relived forever.
I first got into photography because I wasn’t happy with my online presence—especially my Instagram. I wanted it to stand out and stop being kind of... lame. I used to feel painfully awkward whenever someone pulled up my social media accounts around me. I think that sparked something inside me—a desire to change how I was portraying myself online. It made me want to move away from an online presence I wasn’t proud of and create one that I was. I loved street photography and the way it made everyday moments stand out, and that passion has only grown stronger. Back in 8th grade and my freshman year of high school, I’d have sleepovers at my friends' houses, and we’d go out at night just to take pictures. Those nights sparked something in me. Now, as a junior in high school, I’ve fallen in love with helping other people make their social media posts stand out too.
I love capturing special moments for people—athletes, their parents, or anyone who wants to hold on to something meaningful. What I love most is how photography captures the emotions of a game, almost like a time capsule. Every shot tells a story, freezing the joy, determination, and excitement to relive forever.
For me, it’s about more than pictures—it’s about preserving memories that matter. It’s about documenting people's lives and creating work that I can be proud of. I take great joy in making others happy through my photography.
Photography consumes nearly all my waking hours, whether it’s planning my next shoot location for a friend, searching Pinterest for fresh creative ideas, walking around new places looking for things to shoot, or editing photos. I work on photography during school, when I’m done with my work, and throughout lunch, study hall, and even while I walk to my classes during passing periods. Every moment is an opportunity to grow my craft.
All the money I make from photography goes right back into my passion. It's an investment in myself and my craft, so I can keep creating great work that I'm proud of and others love.
